Leigha joins our team at the Pearl River Location as a highly qualified therapist with a diverse background and a passion for physical therapy. Born and raised in Slidell, LA, she cultivated a strong foundation in athletics, excelling in multiple sports including softball, basketball, and volleyball. Following a knee injury during her high school years, Leigha underwent her own rehabilitation journey, which ignited her passion for the field of physical therapy.
With three years of experience in outpatient rehab as a PT technician, Leigha transitioned to become a physical therapist assistant after graduating from the Delgado Physical Therapy program in 2023. Eager to enhance her skills and knowledge, she has pursued additional credentials, including becoming an APTA credentialed clinical instructor, and actively seeks mentorship from her colleagues to further develop her expertise, particularly in manual therapy techniques.
Leigha's dedication extends to her specialized interest in treating the geriatric population, where she demonstrates a compassionate approach and a commitment to improving the quality of life for her patients.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Leigha enjoys outdoor activities such as hunting and fishing, as well as spending cherished time with her husband and their loyal companion, Stella.
